The role of Hollywood cinema costume designs in determining the fashion trends of the year

Cinema emerges as an important element when fashion designers follow the issues that make up the world agenda and present the products they interpret with their talents to the expectations of society. This study aims to explain the role of costume designs used in the stage arts, especially in Hollywood cinema, in determining the trends of that year by considering the changing fashion culture, its reflection on the society from the clothes, and their mutual inspiration. In this way, it shows how the costume, designed to support the script in conveying the message that the characters should give to the audience, sheds light on the fashion trends of that year and took its place as a determining factor. The study gives clues about how to design the most appropriate costumes for the characters in the movie and how to make these costumes more effective. The stronger these effects, the more they have an impact on society and have a say in what we call fashion trends. In particular, the results to be obtained from the thesis study; It is intended to explain how different ideas and ideologies, current problems, fashion designers, and perhaps screenwriters and producers present the messages they want to give to the world through costume designs, how this screening can have an impact on people, how trends and the fashion industry can be directed with a film.
