Abstract (EN)

In this study; effect to project based-learning on students academic achievement as teaching concept in cell biology was investigated. The aim of this study is to investigate if project based-learning approach affects upon academic success. Study was carried out with model at Ataköy Elemantary School second grade class, sixth class with 58 students on year of 2007-2008. Students were constituted as experiment (6B) and control (6A) group randomly. Project based-learning approach was carried out to experiement group, traditional model was carried out to control group. Pre-test application which covered to topic was carried out to experience and control group before study. Also last test was carried out after study. In consequence of an investigation;discoveries compared and it's found that experience group pupils success in science and technology were more expressive other than the pupils who were in control group (p<0.05). As a result;attached to an investigation showed us that project-based learning was more effective for increasing academic success.Key words: Project Based Learning, Science and Technology
