Abstract (EN)
Hüseyin Rifat Işıl (1878-1953), who is known for his satiric and humorous poems, memories about socialand cultural life of Izmir and rubaiyat translations of Ömer Hayyam and Mevlana, is a newspaper author from Izmir. In his study of "The Intellectual and Artistic Men of Izmir", after reviewing Hüseyin Rifat's life story and his publication activities in general, Ömer Faruk Huyugüzel has stated that a large number of the author's writings on different issues are dispersed in newspapers and magazines. Our aim of doing this review is to collect theses says , on which very little study was carried and is stil dispersed in various newspapers, magazines and anthologies, and to group them according to the irgenres and to identify the humorous and satiricel ements of his poem.Key Words: Hüseyin Rifat Işıl, Humor and Satire, Memory, Rubaiyat Translations, The Intellectual and Artistic Men of Izmir.
