Abstract (EN)

In the study, systematic and ecology of the spiders of Huzurlu High Plateau, locatedin Southeast of Gaziantep were investigated. Totally, 1333 samples were collectedfrom the study area, and samples, constitute 56.86 % of the collected samples,belong to Gnaphosidae, Lycosidae and Theraphosidae families were identified ingenus and species levels. Thirty-tree species in 13 genera belong to these familieswere determined.Previous data on the location, climate, vegetation and spider fauna of the researcharea were evaluated, and the collection methods were explained. The description ofeach taxa recorded from the study area was made, the identification keys wereprepared, and the related figures were shown. In addition, the original andtaxonomical reference, synonyms, habitat, ecology, distribution in Turkey and onthe World, and collection data on examined material for each species were given.Five species were determined as new records for The Spider Fauna of Turkey.These species are Haplodrassus silvestris, H. aeneus, Pardosa saltuaria, Alopecosastriatipes and A. aculeata.Key Words: Araneae, Huzurlu High Plateau, Ecology, Systematic.
