The rumors concerning prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya

ABSTRACT Master Thesis THE RUMORS CONCERNING PROPHET ZEKERİYYA AND YAHYA Mehmet Sait UZUNDA? The University of Firat Social Sciences Institute Basic Islamic Sciences, Main Department of Hadith 2005, Page: 95 Ther are many rumors in holy concerning prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya. We have prepared this study to evaluate rumors about prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya mentioned both in Holy Books and the rumors of our prophet. This study consists of introduction and four chapters. In the introduction chapter, it has been gived general information which regard as social, cultural and structure of religion which related to living era of prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya. In second chapter, it has been taken up rumors which is in Holy Quran and other holy books concerning prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya. Besides, it has been evaluated the differences and resemblings of Holy Quran and Bibles. In the third chapter, it has been making transfers concerning prophet Zekeriyya and Yahya from Islamic Sources in History, interpretation, sufism and literature. In the first chapter it hes been gived information about mentioned prophets Zekeriyya and Yahya' s lifes, orders, personality and ructions. In the fourth chapter, Hadiths related about the subject have been given and their evaluation has been done. This study ends with a bibliography.
