The Position Of Ibn Mīrān An-Nīsābūrī's Al-Mabsūt In The Science Of Qiraat

The 4th century of Hijri was a fertile period in the history of the science of qiraat. In this study, the position of Ibn Mihrān al-Nīsābūrī (d. 381/992), who lived at the beginning of this period, who wrote the first work on ten qiraat, who made an undeniable contribution to the Qur'ānic sciences, and who was praised both scientifically and spiritually by the later generations as well as those who took part in his teaching, in the science of qiraat, and the position of al-Maḥrān al-Nīsābūrī (d. 381/992) and his work, al-Mabsūt fi'l qiraāat al-ʿashr, which he edited with the method of qiraat al-ʿasharah. In the introduction of the study, which consists of an introduction and two main chapters, the subject, purpose, importance and method of the research are mentioned. In the first part, after a brief information about the importance of the science of qiraat, the author's position in the science of qiraat and his scholarly personality are focused on and data are presented in this context within the framework of the work in question. In addition, this section also includes the rihls he made in order to familiarize himself with different recitations. In the last part, Ibn Mihrān's style of handling the qiraat, his preferences and the method he followed in his book are analyzed by focusing on the muhtawā' of the work.
