Determination of nutritional status of ash seedlings (Fraxinus angustifolia) afforestation in central Anatolia arid region

The nutritional status of narrow-leaved ash trees (F.angistifolia) planted in different years in Aksaray, Ereğli, Karapınar and Emirgazi province of central Anatolian region is determined. The aims of the study are; 1-To determine the nutritional status of the ash trees planted in arid lands of Central Anatolian Region based on leaf analysis. And to reveal the relationships between soil and leaf variables, 2-To compare the N concentration of ash leaves grown in the Central Anatolian region to those of Adapazarı and Sinop region which are better growing conditions in terms of rainfall, 3-therefore to provide data to the practitioners in arid and semi-arid afforestation studies Ash leaves from the sites planted in different years sampled in June and July of 2014 and analyzed for N, C, P, K, Fe, Zn concentrations. Soils sampled around each tree were analyzed for their EC, pH, lime, ESP and CEC values. Leaf nutrient concentrations and soil values were utilized for the correlation analysis between soil values and leaf values
