The use of computer technologies as tool or material in interior design

Advances in computer technologies have given rise to radical changes in processing,multiplication and transfer of information. Conception of reality and space areaffected by the changing view of information. Computer technologies, which areaffecting many fields, are also used in spatial design and practice in order to increasespeed and efficiency and to reduce cost.Human-computer interaction has also become a research field by the advances incomputer technologies. In researches, space is rising as a platform where humancomputerinteraction can be attained most naturally. Computer sciences and spatialdesign are integrating each others subjects to their fields. It points inter-disciplinarystudies.In this study, it is aimed to expose, how interior design will be affected by interdisciplinarystudies. It is also aimed to expose possibilities of utilizing digitaltechnologies as a tool for interior design in order to provide speed, efficiency andwider design possibilities, as an interaction facility and material which are providingsustainable designs
