Abstract (EN)
This study involves the creation of a diesel engine performance and design software with the "Python" programming language, using mathematical models of in-cylinder combustion, heat transfer, friction and emission calculations for internal combustion diesel engines. With that created software, the pressure and temperature conditions in the cylinder could be calculated with 0.1 crank angle degree sensitivity depending on main dimensions of the engine, the chemical properties of the fuel and the characteristics of the air-charging system. With this software, the design parameters required in a new engine development project can obtained, and the necessary improvements in engine performance, durability, lifetime and one of the most important current environmental issue emission limitations, can be determined at the design stage. At the same time, it is possible to analyze the extent to which the changes to be made on a motor that has been designed will affect these mentioned criteria.
