Abstract (EN)
Before the establishment of the Presidency For Turks Abroad and Related Communities, established on 6/4/2010, the mission undertaken by this institution was carried out in part by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency. While significant work has been carried out in this framework along with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, the exigency of coordinating activities related to Turks and Related Communities living abroad from one institutional structure ensued. Within this context, more than six million Turkish citizens living in different parts of the world and related communities with a population of more than 200 million, have been considered as an important source of diaspora for Turkey. The necessity for a strong institution to manage and direct the mentioned resource has been the rationale for the establishment of the Presidency For Turks Abroad And Related Communities. The subject of this study is to examine the duties and competencies of the Presidency For Turks Abroad and Related Communities in terms of administrative law.
