Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the population development and infection rate of the European Grapevine Moth in the vineyard areas of Öğündük, Haberli, Toklu and Ulak villages of İdil District of Şırnak Province. In the study, the first adult flight of the European Grapevine Moth moth in nature, the periods when its population was dense, peak points and infestation rates in the vineyards were determined in 2023. Adult population density was monitored using sexually attractive pheromones. Traps were checked weekly. To determine the infection rate, 20 vines from each vineyard were randomly checked, 5 bunches on each vine, for a total of 100 bunches, and the bunches in which any damage by the bunch moth was detected were considered as infected. As a result of the inspections carried out on April 10, the first adult individuals were caught in Öğündük, Haberli and Toklu villages, except for Ulak village, and during the inspections carried out on April 17, adults were found in all vineyard areas. It was concluded that the last adult flight in the district was on October 12, and with these data, the pest remained active in nature for 7 months. In the process of determining the population density, the highest number of adults were caught in the village of Toklu (928), followed by Haberli (824), Ulak (423) and Öğündük (312). According to the locations, the dishwashing rates were determined as Toklu 35%, Ulak 19%, Öğündük 15% and Haberli 8%. It was determined that the cluster moth pest produced three offspring per year, according to the population change graphs created by counting the adults caught in the sexually attractive pheromone traps in all four trial areas.
