Idman Mecmuası, which is thesubject of our study and start edits broadcasting life in the context of great events both in the world and in the Ottoman Empire, has a different importance not only in the context of Turkish pres and sports history, but also in terms of hosting a number of firsts. As a matter of fact, when the articles and articles published in the journal are subjected to a careful examination, the efforts for the integration of thestate-nation, the efforts given to the Turkishization of the sportive conceptsused in thewest, and the attempt to ad ddynamism to a pacified society show that this journal struggles in line with a number of social and political goals. Inotherwords, it aimed at social structuring suitable for the changing world. The writers of the Idman Magazine, which is the subject of our study, consist of people who have great services for Turkish sports such as Ali Sami YEN, Selim Sırrı, Aka GÜNDÜZ and Burhan Felek and pioneered the establishment of modern Turkishsports. In addition, İdman Mecmuası makes it the first comprehensive sports magazine in thehistory of Turkish sports, publishing articles and news about all sports, unlike periods ports publications. Considering these qualities of the Training Journal, our study consists of five main sections. In the first part, there are introduction, General Status of the Ottoman Press, Materialand Methodsections. In these condpart, the history of Turkish Sports until the 20th century is explained. The third part is the part of the journal sabstractsby branches. The fourth part is the evaluati on part of the Journal of Idman and the fifth part is the transcription of the Journal of Idman.
