Abstract (EN)
Ever since the first premises of the animation were laid, the animation industry has made a great progress thanks to its growing technology. Furthermore, considering that many of the projects prepared for the animation process have also gone through various graphic stages, undoubtedly the animation and graphic design sectors are intertwined in many ways and have made a contribution to the development of each other. Owing to the undeniable effect of technology, the most prominent techniques of the animation industry have been two-dimensional (2D) animation and three-dimensional (3D) animation within computer-generated images. These animation types have been used in different sectors such as education, film, advertising, arts and computer games. In this thesis, besides the historical process and usage areas of animation, the design processes of two dimensional (2D) animation and three dimensional (3D) animation, which are among the most prominent techniques, have been studied.
