Abstract (EN)
Throughout history, cinema has served not only as a means of entertainment but also as a strategic tool in shaping political, social, and cultural transformations. While cinema is a form of artistic expression, it also functions as a powerful medium for propaganda, capable of reaching wide audiences and influencing public opinion. In this context, governments have increasingly utilized cinema as a means of perception management, particularly during periods of political unrest or regime consolidation. The use of film as a propaganda apparatus under Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany stands as one of the most striking examples of this strategy. Cinema has the capacity to transmit ideological messages and mold the collective consciousness of society. Research has highlighted the medium's influence on shaping individual and collective attitudes and behaviors. This influence arises not only from the technical and aesthetic tools specific to cinema but also from its narrative structures, character portrayals, and the implicit social messages conveyed through film. As such, cinema has become a significant instrument for governments seeking to manage public perception and reinforce authority. From the Nazi regime to the Soviet Union, various historical instances demonstrate how cinema has been systematically employed in alignment with state ideologies to guide, persuade, and control the masses.
