Abstract (EN)

Researched region is in Ayaş county borders which is in Ankara in Interior Anatolian Region and includes Bayram, Gökçebağ, Ulupınar, İlhanköy and Ilıca villages. In our region, there are limestones which are Top Jura ? Inferior Cretaceous years old, sandy limestones and sandy Marls which are Inferior Medium Miocene years old and volcanics which are Pliocene years old.According to estate and microscopic observations, volcanics which form big piece of our working region, are seperated like Spilitic Basalt, Basalt with Pyroxene, Basalt with Pyroxene and olivine. It is interesting that there isn?t Pyroxene in Spilitic Basalts and there is forming iddingsit. In our region there are basalts with different mineralogic composition. This shows that volcanics can go up the earth?s surface at different times.Sandy limestones and Marls which are Miocene years old, are interesting with concentric formations in our region and exterior of our region. In this formation which is very soft and has melting hollows, turn upvolcanic pieces, Quartz and Plagioclase pieces with microscopic dimension. In researched region, there are Opal pieces and crumbs, so our region can be important for Gemology.
