The ethnobotanical features of Ilgaz (Çankırı) district

Abstract (EN)

In this study, vernacular names and etnobotanical aspect of the taxa were investigated in Ilgaz (Çankırı) district in 2005 - 2006. The morphology, their using parts and how to used were obtained. As a result of study, 100 taxa belonging 44 families were determined. 62 of them for food, 25 medically, 12 tea, 4 for spices, 4 decorative plants and 20 were used for various purposes. Most frequently used families are Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Rosaceae and Lamiaceae.
