Abstract (EN)
The topic of the relations between ancient Greek philosophy and ancient Greek religion has a lot of productive discussions. The question how the Greeks passed from mythos to logos is still discussed. This study examines that transformation, in the context of the becoming like god. There are some rites and practices about becoming like god or one with god in ancient Greek religion, especially in the cult of Dionysos. In the study, we analyze that rituals and their cultural background, in the context of the philosophical reflections. The work is divided into there main sections. In the first chapter, pre-Socratic godlikeness thought is analyzed. In the chapter, first, the general characteristics of the ancient Greek religion are discussed. Secondly, pre-Socratic philosophers are examined in the context of becoming like god. In the second part, Plato's dialogues are analyzed. Here, we try to answer 'how Plato handled Greek rituals about godlikeness, and how Plato expressed them with a philosophical language'. The contepts which are used by Plato such as, anamnesis, mimesis, methexis are analyzed within the framework of the becoming like god. The third and final section deals with Aristotle's works.
