Abstract (EN)
11 ABSTRACT The main purpose of this study is to determine the impact of three- dimensional constructions and modelling art works (multiple field art education - CASEY-) in 6th grade elementary painting-construction classes. In the study, the activities of sculpture making and ceramics modelling were taught to the sixth grade art class by using two different methods. One of the groups (control group) was thought through traditional instruction, while the other one (test group) was subjected to the multiple field art education. Following this, the achievement and attitudes of the students were examined. A multiple subject and single factor experimental design was used. In addition, observation, interview, and pedagogical criticism methods were used to collect qualitative data. Results showed that the test group achieved at a higher level and developed more positive than the control group. During the process of the practical works of the three dimensional modelling it was observed that the student's interests to the painting-construction classes increased,, and that students developed their confidence in their own creativity through which they express themselves. At the end of the study it was suggested that multiple field based art education should be given more emphasis in the program of the painting-construction classes at elementary schools.
