Prof. Dr. Mustafa YEĞİNProf. Dr. Erkin ERTENProf. Dr. Erdoğan GÜLTEKİNIn this study, the importance of the elements of the visual comfort and colorhave been examined with the help of their physcological affects over the elementaryschool buildings and some solutions have been suggested which aim to enhance theperformance of the user and the space in these buildings.Within the scope of the study, the examples have been researchedcomperatively and examined by using the method of evaluating after use and it hasbeen emphasized that color is a considerable concept during the architectural designprocess.Key Words: Visual comfort, color, physcology of space, elementary schoolbuildings, post occupancy evaluation.II
