Review of family stuructures in terms of some variables according to the opinions of primary education second stage students

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to investigate family structures of the second stage Primary Education students with respect to gender, level of class, family type, parent?s educations. The sample of the research is composed of 188 students who are attending to Merkez Atatürk boarding school in Kars Province Digor District. Family Status Assesment Scale (AYDA) was used in order to determine opinions of the students about their family statüs. Family structure, communication in family, management, competence and emotional context were investigated as a result of AYDA and the mean and the standart deviation was calculated of the gatheral data. In statistical analysis ?t? test was used in bilateral groups, the one way variance analysis was used for the comparison between more than two groups and ?Tukey? test was used for the detection of the differences between groups.?103 of the student participating in research are girl and the other 85 students are boy. The majority of the students are at the age of 13 an the very few of them are ten years old. 60 of the students are in sixth class, 76 of the students are in seventh class, and th 52 of them are in eightth class.?The majority of the students? mother?s age are between 36-40, very few of them are in between 53-65 interval. Students? father?s age between 37-41 and 42-46 are in equal number and the constitute the highest point of average. On the other hand father?s age 58 and higher are on the lowest part of average.?The majority of the students? mother?s graduated from primary school on the other hand the non-literate mothers nomber are not few than the others. The majority of the students? fathers? graduated from primary school and high school and university graduated fathers are also avaliable.?The majority of the students? mothers is housewife and they don?t have a certain income. The majority of the students?fathers are self employed and their monthly income is between 501-1000 TL interval.?The father of seven students in 188 students participating in research have second spouse. Four of thrm is living together with their wives inthe same home. Three of them is living with theit wives in different homes.?According to the evaluation of family structures, it is found that male students competence size averages were significantly higher than the average of female students.?According the Tukey test results, using for determining of the family structures ,it is found that there is a significant difference between in 6-7 and the 6-8 classes in communication size.?Assessment of family structures according to the educational status of students? fathers, significant difference occured in union size. For determining in which classes have differences, Tukey test was done. As a result of ?Tukey Test? it is found that, the difference occurs between primary school graduates and the high school graduates.
