Determine the leadership standards that primary school principals have, according to teacher?s view

In this study, it is aimed to determine the leadership standards that primary school principals have, according to teachers point of view. In this direction, the study has been conducted by using scanning technique out of quantitative research techniques.This study has been implemented with the primary school teachers working in the central counties of Ankara in 2010-2011. 388 teachers compose the study's sampling. Data of the study has been accumulated by means of survey which is formed according to the standards determined by ISLLC. In the survey, three leadership standards (social, ethic, politic) has been studied in terms of knowledge, dispositions and performance subgroups. In the analysis of data, Chi Square nonparametric test has been implemented so as to find meaningful difference between average in the analysis of data, standard deviation, independent variable and survey topics.When the findings gained by reason of analysis of data has been studied, it has been seen that primary school principals have those three leadership standard. Apart from that meaningful difference between teachers point of view and independent variables ( gender, branch, seniority) has not been ascertained.
