The ideas of administrators and teachers about the evaluation of performance of primary school administrators

The aim of this study is to find out who will be responsible for evaluating the performance of the administrators of primary schools of national ministry of eduacation (MONE),what will be the criterias of administrators and teachers while evaluating.The views of administrators and teachers working on performance evaluation have been collected by questionnaire froms .The SPSS programme is used to evaluate the survey results applied to the subjects.The findings are put into table and interpreted.The study group is consisted of 31 administrators and 229 teachers, totally 260 participants of primary scholls in İstanbul, Pendik.According to the findings; there are significant differences between the opinions of the administrators and teachers about who will be responsible for evaluating the performance. A meaningful difference couldn?t be found according to gender, working-period, age and teaching branch.There was singnificant differences between the participants related to criterien of the performance evalutaion ,according to their gender, age-working period and teaching branch.Key Words: Primary School Administrators, Performance, Performance EvaluationFebruary, 2009Mehmet ÖZDOĞAN
