Strategic planning in elementary schools (Şavşat county Atatürk Elementary School example)

Rapid changes in the structure of technology have accelerated the formation of changes in institutional structures. This seems to be necessary in order to capture change systematically and to develop a quality product or service understanding. Educational institutions in this framework are also affected by this change and planning is needed in terms of educational quality. In the frame of this framework, Atatürk Secondary School and Cumhuriyet Secondary School located in Şavşat and Ardanuç districts of Artvin province examined the strategic planning process and the strategic planning prepared to determine the opinions of the managers and teachers about this subject. The survey, which was supported by the questionnaire survey, was realized within the scope of Atatürk Secondary School and Republic Secondary School in Şavşat and Ardanuç districts in 2015-2016 academic year.The general aim of the syudy is to improve the effectiveness of the strategic plans created in different districts of Artvin province in line with the opinions that managers and teachers have directed towards their interview forms. In this context, it has been determined that strategic planning is only determined by the strategic planning team because the teachers information on the schools for strategic planning is not effective and the cooperation between the school and the teachers is not too much. A demonstration of this situation is that some of the teachers are based on the fact that the development of strategic planning is not a requirement. On the other hand, some teachers point out that preparations which express a much shorter period than the five-year preparation of planning are more effective. The lack of loyalty to the school was found to be widespread in teachers and the circulation in the schools was high. Key Words: Planning, Primary school, Strategic planning, Strategy management
