The relationships between the primary school principals' personal communication skills and the school culture

In this research, the relationship between communicational skills of primary school headmasters and the culture of the schools has been tried to define according to the teachers? perceptions.The structure of this research has been formed by 1435 teachers in the 45 primary schools in the center of Aksaray. The sample of this research includes 420 primary school teachers in the center of Aksaray. In this research, the data has been collected by means of `Organizational Culture Scale? developed by İpek (1999) and the part `Study Skills of School Headmasters? of the survey `The Relationship Between Communicational Skills Of Primary School Headmasters And The Culture Of The Schools? developed by Şimşek (2003).The data have been analysed by the SPSS Packaged Software and Microsoft Office Excel 2003.As Independent Samples t Test and ANOVA have been used for the data which shows the feature of normal range, Mann Whitney U-Test and Kruskal Wallis H-Test have been used for the data which does not show the feature of normal range.According to the result of this research; The culture of ?Rainforcement Culture? in 10 schools, the culture of ?Role Culture? in 3 schools, the culture of ?Power Culture? in 2 schools of 15 schools have been perceived in the first order. Communicational skills of primary school headmasters have been observed in the very effective level in 3 schools. There is a positive reletaionship in the level of 0,37 between communicational skills of primary school headmasters and the culture of the schools. It has been observed that the men teacher and the teachers who has worked for 16-20 years have given more optimistic opinions in this subject than the other groups.In this research, it has been suggested that informatory seminars should be arranged intended for headmasters and teachers.
