Abstract (EN)

Primary school directors are always confronted administrative problems. That?s why, theyhave difficulties in management. In this research, it is aimed to find that what theseproblems are, what the reasons of these problems are and what the suggestions are to solvethese problems.This research are made with Primary School Directors who work in state schools inEsenler district. In the universe of the research, there are 25 Primary School Directors. Thedata are obtained with an information form that is developed by the researcher.All directors are met during the research and all forms are filled. Data are analyzed withSPSS. In the first part of the form, there are 12 questions which are personal and in thesecond part, there are 24 questions related with administrative problems that the directorsare confronted.The results are summarized below:1. Primary schools do not have sufficient financial support from the central management.2. The directors do not participate in-service training periodically.3. The directors are sometimes blamed for contribution of parents.4. There are not sufficient number of teachers at schools.5. There can be sometimes negative situations during the control of upper management.6. Shift education causes some difficulties.7. Directors do not have authority on teachers.8. Teachers who work temporarily are not productive.9. The cooperationbetween parents and school is insufficient.10. The number of students per classroom are very high.11.There are lots of administrative problems.12. Teachers are not respectful to their directors.13. Materials used during the lesson are not sufficient.14. There are some problems caused by employees.15. There are authority problems between managers.16. There are not enough employees.17. The directors do not have authority to manage the school.18. The physical environment of schools are not sufficient.19. The number of students in a school are very high.20.
