The evaluation of the problems which primary school supervisors had in applying of revised schedules of primary school programme

Ministry of Education has implemented the Constructivist Approach Model considered great development in the educational system and the new primary education program based on this model instead of the traditional education system as a result of long research and study in order to train individuals who will be able to adapt easily social structure and accomplish requirements of the age and meet social needs. On account of the fact that the traditional education system has lost validity and importance and has been considered to be insufficient to meet the needs of society.The purpose of this study is to state the point of view of the primary school principals related to the Constructive Approach Model and new programs beginning to apply in the first time in 2005-2006. The research sample was composed of 230 the primary school principals and assistant directors ,choosen by using the stratification method, working at 51 primary schools in Buca, Balçova, Konak, Karabağlar, Gaziemir and Menderes in İzmir. Likert- type scale of five ratings which were proven by Çınar Teyfur (2005) as reliable and valid in order to define the primar schools principals? point of view related to the Constructivist Approach Model was used to collect the research data .SPSS package program was used to analyze the data. Furthermore t-test, One- Way Annova and Scheffe test were applied to define statistical analysis of sub- problems.The major finding of this study is that the principals in the primary schools generally has approved The Constructivist Curriculum. Most of the principals has agreed that the curriculum guides students to search instead of memorizing, thence the students becomes active while the teachers becomes a guide.Besides ıt was specified that some problems took placed in the implementation phase of the program and the problems were resulted from crowded classrooms, inadequated tools, insufficient material and inappropriate seating in classrooms.The principals has confirmed that The Constructivist Curriculum make fun educational activities and quicken social development of the students. Furthermore The principals has agreed the necessity of the support of the school management and healthy communication between teachers, the School Management and the Parent- Teacher Union
