Abstract (EN)
Speaking, which is one of the most important communication ways of people, maintains an action feature that is frequently used in all areas of society. Although the act of speaking is a way of communication, speaking skill is an issue that should be emphasized especially for students who have just started their education and studying life. The aim of this research is to determine the speaking skill levels of primary school 3rd grade students and to develop activities and materials to improve their speaking skills. The study group of this research consists of 80 primary school 3rd grade students studying in the Çaycuma district of Zonguldak in the 2021-2022 academic year. Quantitative research method was used as a method in this study. The application study was composed of 2 days and 2 lesson hours per week. Thus, a total of 4 hours of practice per week was carried out. Experiment while practicing, without exhibiting speech. An example was prepared for improvement to explain the training program obtained from the research. Using the Conversational Conversation Evaluation Rubric before preparing to acquire the data. It is not designed for this purpose. It is thought that students speaking skill levels can be increased with story completion activities and talking activities about pictures.
