Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of activities used to teach life skills at the primary school level and to reveal their reflections on classroom practices based on teachers' perspectives. The research is based on quantitative data. To this end, a survey was conducted with teachers to measure and analyze their attitudes and observations regarding life skills activities. Primary school teachers working in various geographical regions of Turkey participated in the study. According to the findings, the activities designed to promote life skills support students in developing essential abilities such as communication, empathy, problem-solving, self-regulation, and cooperation. Most teachers stated that the activities facilitated students' ability to relate to real-life situations and contributed positively to the development of appropriate behaviors. However, some teachers also pointed out limitations such as the impracticality of certain activities in daily life, lack of access to materials, and the inability of some activities to address all intended outcomes. According to the research results, it is recommended to develop structured and applicable activity contents and to increase teacher training in order to effectively equip students with life skills. Furthermore, long-term impact evaluation studies are needed to ensure the sustainability of life skills education.
