Evaluation of sufficiancy of the primary school manager(Uşak city sample)

This study was made to identify the sufficiency of primary school managers' ethical leadership, transformational leadership and instructional leadership who Works in public schools in Uşak. For this general objective, it was tried to identify whether it differs according to some qualities such as gender, status of education, branch of study and the time they spent on working.228 school managers and 905 teachers who work in public schools of Uşak in 2012-2013 educational year; form the environment of this research. This sample consists of 402 participants; 257 of them are teachers and 145 of them are managers. A questionnaire which was developed by the researcher and consisted of two parts was applied to the participants which is aimed to collect data about necessary leadership qualities of managers. The scale includes 3 parts and 43 topics. The analyse of the data carried out in SPSS packaged software.T-test was applied to find out the difference of the ideas of managers because of gender and branch in ethical leadership, transformational leadership and instructional leadership. One sided Anova test was applied to find out the difference of the ideas of managers because of status of education, branch of study and the time they spent on working in ethical leadership, transformational leadership and educational leadership. And finally T-Test was applied to identify whether there was va meaningful difference between the opinions of managers and teachers in all three parts related to the sufficiency of leadership.According to the results and teachers ideas; sufficiency of managers in three leadership is in high level, and according to the results and ideas of the managers; sufficiency of managers in three leadership is in very high level. From this point of view; it was seen that there is a meaningful difference between the teachers and managers ideas. On the other hand, the ideas of teachers showed that there is not a meaningful difference in the sufficiency of primary school managers' ethical leadership, transformational leadership and instructional leadership who Works in public primary schools.Key Words: Leadership, School Manager, Transformational Leadership, Ethical Leadership, Educational Leadership
