An analysis of ilyas Eserberlin's "Nomads" (The charmed sword, Despair, Khan kene) trilogy

This work is made in order to examine İlyas Esenberli's Nomads who one of the most important authors of Kazakh literature. Ilyas Esenberlin was born on January 10, 1915, in the town of Akmola, Atsabar. He had a heart attack and passed away on October 5, 1983, at the age of 68 in Almatı. Ilyas Esenberlin's trilogy, Nomads, has a special place in modern Kazakh literature thus has been chosen as a thesis subject by us. Information about Kazakhistan and Kazakh literature was given in the work primarily. Explanations regarding of Ilyas Esenberlin's life, his view of literature and his works were made. Later, the trilogy "Nomads" was analyzed and the novels were closely interpreted in regards to their theme and structure. In point of structure, it was analyzed regarding of subject, characters, time, setting, point of view and narrator whereas in point of the theme: Symbolism, Friendship-Rival, Woman, Animals, Patriotism, Fights for the throne, Poets were added as titles. Three of the novels were received originally and read and author's language and genre were provided from the original texts. In order to understand the quotation easily in Turkey translated works were being used. Key Words: Kazakh Literature, Ilyas Esenberlin, Nomads, Modern Kazakh Literature.
