Abstract (EN)
In this study, we deal with the MATLAB/Simulink modelling, implementation, and control of wind turbines based on doubly-fed induction generators. in detail, a background of wind blow energy as renewable energy is submitted, while the classification of generators used for a wind turbines are presented. In turn, a preview of doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) is presented recalling their advantages and contributions to improving the energy efficiency of wind turbine systems. Also, a comparison between the efficiency of energy of wind turbines which are based on doubly-fed induction generators, and the efficiency of energy of wind turbines which are based on other generators is made. Furthermore, the control process of the doubly-fed induction generators current is evaluated and modelled. Eventually, the investigation of the current controllers is presented.
