Abstract (EN)

Preparation of chemical structures in nanoscale makes posible for new studies in the fields of technology and science in the terms of self-assembly, cell/substrat interaction and particularly surface organization of nanomaterials. Quantum physics rules take place of general physics rules when a material has less than 50 nm in size. These are expected to cause some changes such as conductivity, reactivity, rigidity and change color of material. Such an alterations are useful for all industrial segments that nanotechnology will allow for easier, cheaper and exact solutions. Photopolymerization method being thought to employ in project constitutes a significant portion of polymer chemistry in terms of academic as well as industrial. In particular, with rapid room temperature curing, environmentally friendly and low cost characteristics enhancements in such area involving coatings, adhesives, printing inks, microelectronic, fillings(teeth), bone biomaterial and tissue engineering have been possible with polymeric material.In the past year, another subject that has gained importance is noble metal nanoparticles/polymer nanocomposites. They take part in optic, catalytic, sensordesign, photoimage and patterning and antimicrobial coatings especially due to enhanced mechanical, optical and electronical properties. Selection of the polymers is of great importance for particle properties and final nanocomposite product. Conventional method can be used to prepare nanoparticle/polymer composites is physical dispersion of ready-prepared nanoparticles in the polymer matrix however, it doesn't always end up homogenous dispersion. Another approach is forming of polymer by dispersing inorganic nanoparticles in monomer system. The most sensitive and significant route is to obtain in situ silver nanoparticles simultanously with polymerization process and these plays a critical role on control of shape, size and distrubution of particle. In this work in-situ photochemical reduction from silver salts to silver nanoparticles is aimed. The effect of polymer matrix will be investigated, and the effect of change in proportion of different crosslink density for various acrylates and methacrylates on nanoparticle size, shape and distiribution will be examined. Moreover the effect on stabilization of silver nanoparticles by different photoinitiators which will be used and its structures will be investigated. The control of silver nanoparticles size and shape haven't lost importance yet in the scientific environment, because certain controlled shape and size has significant importance in the processes involving optic, electronic and catalytic. Particularly due to the optical properties is connected to the particle shape, the presence of silver nano particles in composites enables final product to use in the field of bio/nano-medicine, sensor, catalytic and nanotechnology. Consequently, the aim of this work is to synthesize silver nanoparticles in reproducable size and shape by the means of in situ photopolymerization techniques and to investigate morphological properties by using SEM techniques. Obtained nanocomposite films' anti-bacterial/microbial properties will also be investigated in the presence of in-situ produced Ag nanoparticles.
