Abstract (EN)

In this study, knitted denim fabrics were designed for suitable in summer season. Fabrics used in this study are diagonal two-fleece plated fabrics. On the face side of the fabrics Ne 30/1 indigo rope dyed 100 % cotton yarn was used. On the back side (inner side) of the fabric, Ne 30/1 and Ne 20/1 with 9 different raw materials as cotton, tencel, modal, bamboo, viscose, polyester, modal-cotton (65-35), polyester-cotton (65-35) and polyester-viskon (65-35) vortex yarns were used. To check the thermal comfort properties of the fabrics, air permeability test, water vapor permeability test, thermal absorptivity, thermal resistance and thermal transmittance tests were applied. To check the physical performance of the fabrics, bursting strength, pilling resistance, elasticity, and dimensional stability tests were applied. Also the cost analysis of sample fabrics was performed. Then within sample fabrics the cheapest and the most suitable fabric in accordance with the properties of summer season was chosen by means of numerical optimization method. Then a user interface was written to calculate the cost and it was made as working actively. Finally fabrics were presented to a group of consumers and checked its preferability by ?consumer inquiry?. At the end of the study, most suitable fabric type was chosen by optimization, statistics and graphics. Keywords: Knitted Denim Fabric, Vortex, Cost Analysis, User Interface, Twofleece plated fabric.
