Abstract (EN)

In this study, two dimensional electrostatic field distribution has been calculated using the indirect boundary element method. Firstly, boundary element method has been researched extensively and its advantages have been determined over the other methods. In addition to indirect method, the direct methods have been also described. For this purpose, the systems of domain equation were converted to boundary integral equations using the method of weighted residuals. The boundaries were divided into constant elements applying the Dirichlet and Neumann conditions. The influence coefficients are obtained by the method of Gauss numerical integration and diagonal elements of matrix system are also obtained by the solution of single integrals. Equivalent sources are discovered by the solution of linear equation system and then unknown potential and its derivative and the values of internal points desired are calculated using this equivalent sources. In the part of application, example solutions on the any electrode systems have been performed by a program named ISEY and written in the MATLAB software. The solutions obtained, are compared with ELECTRO software and the result of analytical solution. Key Words : Boundary Element Method, Direct Method, Indirect Method, Electrostatic Field, Boundary Integral Equation.
