Abstract (EN)
The stroke is a characterized clinical syndrome with sudden persistent focals neurological loss. The magnitude and area of influence of the lesion indicate the severity of the losses. In stroke rehabilitation, the goal is to maximize functional independence into home, family and society; to restore meaningful and satisfying life. The muscle weaknesses seen after the stroke cause abnormality of motion synergies, spasticity and normal joint movements, as well as a reduction in stability, as well as marching disorder. Stabilization of these patients is also required not only for walking, but also for all locomotor functions, daily life activities, providing stability while changing positions, maintaining position and balance. 30 patients were included between 18 and 75 years of age, with hemiplejic vestibular balance impairment being treated in the specialized Avrasya Hospital neurological rehabilitation unit. Dynamic Visual Field of these thirty people were evaluated ,Unterberger, Tandem Duration Test, PASS Posture Analysis, Manual Stone Test, Berg Balance Scale, Morse fall Scale measurements were evaluated and patients were randomly selected as fifteen people control groups as experiments groups and compared the results of the two treatment protocols before and after treatment. Conventional balance training in patients who had Vestibular impairments demonstrated significant improvement in the balance and fall assessments performed after treatment (p= 0.001; p<0.01) . Patients were significantly improved in the balance and fall assessments performed after the treatment of vestibular rehabilitation training in vestibularly affected patients (p= 0.001; p<0.01) . Compared to both treatment groups, the VREG data results were found to be higher than the GDEG data results(p= 0.001; p<0.01) . As a result, significant improvement in each group shows that both treatment methods can be used safely. Keywords:Stroke, vestibular rehabilitation, traditional balance training, balance, fall
