Investigation of working at height in the instruction sector and the measures that can be taken for accidents and the knowledge levels of the employees

Construction sector in our country is in the first place among the sectors which are heavily based on manpower and the diversity of risks that employees are exposed to due to working conditions and occupational accidents are intense.Especially ,as a result of falling from a hight occupational accidents cause to death of injuries of many employees. Within the scape of the occupational health and safety law numbered 6331 in our contry,employers have to provide all the tools and equipments needed to take measures in suitable with the occupational health and safety criterias in the construction sector work and employees have to apply these measures to work with the occupational health and safety In addition,it is of great importance for the employees working at height to receive training on safe working at height and occupational health and safety periodically.In spite of all the legal regulations the increase in occupational accidents in the sector shows that both employers and employees don't do what is necessary in terms of occupational health and safety. In this research ,200 employees working at heights in the construction sector were selected and their know levels on the subject were evalvated.According to the results of obtained in this research,it is the necessary to take precautions to minimaze the accidents that may occur as a result of working at height in this sector that is the locomotive of the economy,which can cause great losses both in terms of health and financially,it is necessary to take precautions to use equipment in accordance with the standards and to train and inform the employees about these precautions and the equipments.
