A Survey about human resources management in Çanakkale and new ways in human resources management

SUMMARY Practices aimed at efficient and productive employment of the workforce in line with the established goals of the organization are developing and changing every day.Information tecnologies, globalization and competition are further speeding up this process and putting on the agenda new approaches to and new responsibilitiesfor management of employees. The management approach of human resources is also gaining new concepts and new responsibilities under effects of this development. Developments and modification of the human resources management approaces and practices are in fact a result of some issues, which were always present, but are now gaining more and more importance within the basic functions of, and the approach to, the human resources management. Based on this assumption, this study discusses and deals with various aspects of, first, the human resources management approach and the appearance, activities and processes of this appoach till date, and secondly, the new approaches expected to arise in the future. Included among the issues discussed in this study are, interalia, the emergence and development of the human resources management approach, its practices and applications till date, the issues expected to have priority in the humanresources management in the coming years, en the devolopments leading us to such point, the new responsibilities covered by the human resources management, the management of change, the management of information, the goal to improve the efficiency and productivity of human resources management processes, and the new concept of the human reources management: Strategic Human Resources Management. Within this study, parallel to the devolopments and modifications occured in the approach of human resources management, a research that studies the management applicationsof human resources and how these applications will be in the future in the medium and large scaled twelwe firms functioning in Çanakkale takes place.
