Abstract (EN)

At the end of the 20th century, with the wave of globalization, many factors threatening national and international security entered the system of international relations. One such threat was human trafficking. Human trafficking is recognized by the international community as a crime. That is why international cooperation has been launched against this crime, but it has not yet reached a sufficient and effective point. The states are trying to establish various rules and institutions in the national sphere aimed at combating human trafficking. It is noted that Turkey, in particular, as a transit country, has introduced into its domestic legislation provisions aimed at combating human trafficking. At the same time, Turkey is part of the international conventions on human trafficking. And Turkey has established various institutions on a national basis and established partnerships with international organizations. This study examines Turkey's efforts to cooperate with the international community, as well as the steps taken by Turkey in the fight against human trafficking. The damage that human trafficking has caused and will cause to the national and regional security of Turkey is analyzed.
