News production practices of internet news editors: Elazığ case

With digitalization, internet journalism has differentiated itself from traditional media practices and has created new dynamics in speed, access and content production processes. In this study, the news production practices, working conditions and professional challenges faced by internet news editors are examined through the example of Elazığ. The aim of the study is to understand how internet journalism has transformed at the local level and to shed light on the ethical, technical and professional problems faced by editors in this process. In this study, which was conducted with the qualitative research method, the effect of dependency on advertising revenues on content in internet journalism and how reader interactions shape editorial decisions were examined. The research results show that internet journalism has different dynamics at the local level than at the national level and that these differences are directly reflected in professional practices. The study aims to complete the missing literature in this field by providing a perspective on the professional practices of internet news editors.
