In this study, the phenomenon of "suicide" has been examined in historical context. Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, Theology, History, etc. In many other scientific fields, Suicidology, which is a space for study, study and study, has been decided to do this study based on the lack of historical studies on suicide Science. In most previous studies, the subject of suicide was discussed sociologically, psychologically, philosophically or statistically. Therefore, this study is aimed at showing a study of how the approach to the phenomenon of suicide in the 'historical' process is progressing. However, within the near Ages, within the context of the suicide of the Ottoman State intellectuals, Bashir Fuad, the lives of other intellectuals and people who have committed suicide have been briefly addressed. The reports of suicide in the Ottoman and Republican period newspapers and Ottoman-era archival documents were used to reflect the reflections of the 'suicide' phenomenon in the newspaper news and the documents written at the time to the readers. This study is written in three main sections. Section I.; The opinions, comments and definitions of the people who have been working in the fields of Philosophy, Medical-psychological, Sociological and Statistics were included. Section II.; The historical process of suicide has been given. The phenomenon of suicide, which was primarily addressed in primitive and ancient times, was processed from the Middle Ages to the present day through Europe.ix Section III.; Through the framework of Bashir Fuad's life and suicide, handling have been shortly processed in the Near Age, in the Ottoman State, and after the declaration of the Republic, to the suicides of persons who were both domestic and foreign.
