Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to investigate the effect of different bonding lengths under the effect of high-speed collision. Within the scope of the study, the effect of the collision on the single lap joint on the static strength was investigated. To gain a better understanding of the dynamic behavior specific to overlay joints, a series of quasi- static experiments have been performed on lap joints. In this context, carbon and glass fiber adherent joints were subjected to tensile and bending tests to obtain information about the static joint behavior. Then, while starting the ballistic tests, firstly, due to the similar reaction to the impact, vibration studies were carried out on the composite joints and information about the natural frequency of the material and the measurement technique was obtained. In the ballistic experiments, samples of AL6061 aluminum bonding elements with 15mm and 25mm length single lap joints were produced by using AF163-2K film adhesives used in aviation. An air-pressure rifle was positioned on a uniquely designed shooting range, and shots were made with the laser pointer. The bullets leaving the rifle and going to the target were recorded with a fast camera and their approximate speeds were determined. At the same time, models were obtained in the Abaqus FEA program. In the light of the results obtained from numerical analysis and experiments, the change in strength caused by the collision on the overlap length has been interpreted.
