Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, effectiveness of Multilinear kinematic hardening model in numerical analysis of the masonry walls by using the macro modeling technique is investigated under the cyclic loading. Experimental results of six irregular masonry walls which called as WI1.100, WI1.175, WI1.250, PR4, PR5 and PR6, are used for investigation of effectiveness of the model. Numerical solutions are obtained by using ANSYS finite element software. Modulus of elasticity, maximum loading capacity and strain hardening modulus obtained from experimental and numerical results used for the comparisions. It is defined that Multilinear kinematic hardening model can use in numerical analysis of the masonry walls by using the macro modeling technique under the dynamic loading in spite of some differences seen in loading path. Keywords: Macro modeling technique, Irregular masonry walls, Multilinear kinematic hardening model, Modulus of elasticity, Maximum loading capacity and Strain hardening modulus
