Background: One issue that poses a danger to public health is tuberculosis, particularly in developing nations. It is crucial to identify TB patients in order to reduce the disease's prevalence in society and successfully complete the TB treatment regimen. Improved nurse awareness regarding the detection of TB cases is crucial to maintaining control over and reducing the risk of spreading this disease.Objective: The study aims to determination the knowledge and attitude of nursing about tuberculosis in primary health care centers at Hilla city, Iraq. Methodology: using a cross-sectional design. 230 nurses working in primary health care centers were randomly selected. data collection from 1/5/2022 to 1/8/2022. The study relied on a questionnaire based on a personal interview consisting of three sections: the first covered basic demographic data; the second covered nurses' knowledge of tuberculosis; and the third covered nurses' attitudes towards the disease and analyzed data collection using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 22.Result: The results showed that 66.5% female, male 33.5%, age less than 31 years, more nurses with diploma certificates as educational level 60.9%, and years of service in primary health care centers are 1-4 years. Knowledge-related TB has a low response rate of 37.0%, whereas attitude-related TB has a negative response rate of 26.5%.Conclusion: The majority of the females in the sample were under the age of 31. The study revealed that the nurses' knowledge was unacceptable for all variables of the knowledge information about tuberculosis disease. The nurses' attitude towards the disease was also poor.
