Abstract (EN)

EK 7 ABSTRACK The ceramics which are produced in between 10 to 13 th centuries ot Isfahan, Rey, Kaşan and Samarra were very important with their high-technologies beside ornamentations. Especially the 1150- 1250's were cansidered so important that coult be named as the explosion period of the history of the islamic culture. During this period, the ceramists attracted a great attention with figurative compositions, subjects and techniques on their own techniques wich are known as "sıraltı, perdah, lagvardina, sgraffito, minai end luster" on the ceramics wich are decorated by inspiration of the favorable book miniatures of that period; ceramists mostly used some parts of stories, legends, historical and heroism fenomens from Iran literature. On the other hand, they did not try different form varieties except dishes, cases, bottles or jars. In spite of, they prefer white background for ornamentation; sometimes-to show the power of the color- they use blue back - ground on their earthenware pots. Tohether with products like food and drink cases, there are wall majolicas* for decorating architectural elements. These 10 to 13th centuries ceramics on wich the technique and ornamentations were very eye-catching, would helpful and been a standpoint for the next civilizations. As a summary, the 10 to 13th centuries Great Seljuk Ceramics wich are created by the interaction of Majolica: A pice of earthenware decorated with apaque colored glazes and mtifs that are characteristic of Turkish art.
