Abstract (EN)
When examined in terms of historical development; the importance of Occupational Safety is not only about the cost, prestige or reputation but also by all the elements ranging from small scale companies to strategic institutions setting forth the country's level of development. A significant actor in generating Ocupational Health and Safety culture is Occupational Safety Specialist as well. The costs that occur as if a work accident happened are reseted earlier on by Occupational Safety Specialist who has a crucial mission serving as a professional by conceiving proactively. Possibility of performing due to the professional ethics and neccesary permissiveness has to be given to this actor that all the actors of the Business Law could have been satisfied. In this study; the responsibilities of the Occupational Safety Specialists in Turkey as if a work accident occurs according to the actual Criminal Law are detected. At the same time within the framework of Occupational Health and Safety Law, interrelations with the employers, liabilities and initiatives at detecting and reporting dangers are examined. The answers of the Occupational Safety Specialists applied face-to-face and e-mail connection polls are examined and interpretted by using SPSS Statistics 21 program. Considering that the study will contribute to the policy of Occupational Health and Safety in Turkey.
