Abstract (EN)

This descriptive field study was conducted between 01.02.2018 and 01.05.2018 for the purpose of examining the other health personnel working in workplaces' working life quality and related factors. Research was conducted with 168 voluntary participicants who worked as other health personnel conjucted with common health security units or in independent public / private institutions and whose professional were nurse health officer, emergency medical technician, nurse and environmental health technician. Research participants were attained by unprobable snow ball sample technique and data were gathered by e mail or by face to face interview in the center of Izmir, Ankara, Istanbul, Manisa, Aydin, Kocaeli, Denizli and Antalya cities. Data were gathered by using sociodemographic form and Nursing Work Life Quality Scale which was adapted to Turkish community by Şirin and Sökmen (2011) after taking the ethical permissions. SPSS 22.0 for Windows was applied for the statistical analysis and p <0.05 was used to evaluate statistical significance. Of the participants 61,3% of them were female, 61,9% were nurse graduates and 37,5% have undergraduate and upper level of university education. The mean total scale score of the participants was 114.79 ± 22.47. The total scale and subscale scores demonstrated that they have at "Neither agree nor disagree" level of views on their own work life quality and it was determined that the level was above the expected average scale score. Participants who were unmarried and those who have no children have the lowest scale score. Based on the regression analysis, the predictor variables associated with the total average score of quality of work life scale were; satisfaction work (β=0.229), satisfaction of wages (β=0.198), frequency of experiencing work stress (β=0.160), intention to leave the job (β=0.150) and the total number of other health personnel in the workplace (β=0.136) respectively. Consequently in the light of the study results; it was suggested for the researchers to implement descriptive and evidenced based studies on other health personnel's work life quality and the related factors in larger sample sample groups and in order to improve their work life quality. Organizing political arrangements to increase nurses'salary and the number of the nurses in the team in terms of quality work could also be proposed.
