Abstract (EN)
Individuals have duties and responsibilities that they constantly maintain in their work and lives. The effort to fulfill these duties and responsibilities requires the existence of a balance established between the two areas, in which each individual determines own limits. An important concept in the balance between work and life is the workload of individuals. Failure to establish the balance can be effective in the formation of the intention to leave, bringing along some negative consequences. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of workload and work-life balance on intention to leave by examining the relationships between workload, work-life balance and intention to leave. In the first part of the study, three basic concepts are explained by giving a theoretical framework. In the second part, similar studies and research models linking the concepts with each other are included. In the third part, there is research conducted to examine the effect of workload and work-life balance on intention to leave. The data in the study were obtained from 102 employees in the banking sector in Bursa province, using the survey method. Analyzes of all data obtained were carried out with the "SPSS 17.0 for Windows" program. According to the results, a significant and opposite direction between workload and work-life balance a meaningful and same-directional relationship was found between workload and intention to leave. A significant and inverse relationship was found between work-life balance and intention to leave. In the analysis made, it was determined that the model was significant and the workload and work-life balance effect intention to leave. In the analysis made among three concepts according to gender, age, marital status, education level and working time demographic variables, a significant relationship was found between workload and age variable, work life balance and marital status and intention to leave and education level.
