The correspondence between Nasir Al-Din Al-Tusi and Najm Al-Din Al-Katibi on the proof of the existence of god: Critical edition, translation, and evaluation

THE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN NASIR AL-DIN AL-TUSI AND NAJM AL-DIN AL-KATIBI ON THE PROOF OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD: CRITICAL EDITION, TRANSLATION, AND EVALUATION. The book "The Correspondence Between Nasir al-Din al-Tusi and Najm al-Din al-Katibi on the Proof of the Existence of God: Critical Edition, Translation, and Evaluation." consists of five chapters: 1- Risâletün fi İsbâti Vâcibi'l-Vücûd, 2- et-Ta'likâtu 'alâ Risâleti'l-Kâtibi, 3- Münakaşâtu'l-Kâtibi li-Ta'likâti Tûsî, 4- Reddu't-Tûsî alâ Münakaşâti'l-Kâtibi 5- El-İ'tirâfu bi'l-Hakk bi Kalemi'l-Kâtibi. In this study, critical edition, translation, and general evaluation of the manuscripts were made. These risalahs/booklets discuss "Isbât-ı Vâcibu'l-Vücûd" and its evidence, among other subjects, discussed in Kâtibi's "Hikmetü'l-Ayn" and Tûsî's "Tecrîdu'l-İtikad." The topics are discussed through correspondence between a teacher and his student in a claims-and-answers style. Kâtibi was firm in defending his ideas throughout those correspondences. However, in the last correspondence titled "al-İtirafu bi'l-hak blooket", he admitted that some disagreements were a result of confusion in the concepts being discussed and expressed his gratitude to his teacher Tusi for providing insightful explanations.
