Abstract (EN)
This study covers briquetting experiments and the standard test results of the briquettes obtained from İSDEMİR mill scale. In the experiments, effects of binder content, heat treatment period, temperature and particle size on mechanical strength of the briquettes were investigated. Axial and radial strenth tests were conducted in order to find out information related to durability of the briquettes.. As a result of the experimental studies, optimum particle size and moisture content of the sample briquetted, were found as – 3,15 mm and %4 respectively. The best mechanical strength was achieved when the briquetting pressure was 30 Mpa briquette surface. The optimum binder content was %6, heat treatment period and temperature were 40 min and 600 °C respectively
