Investigation of relationship with the workaholism and work-family conflict with structural equation model: An application in health businesses

This research is carried out to reveal a meaningful relations between workaholism and work-family conflict. In that context, the aim of the research is to measure the degree of workaholism of the doctors who are assumed to be workaholic and to determine whether they suffer from work-family conflict or family-work conflict. Further, this research deals also with the theoretical aspects of the previous studies which investigated workaholism and work-family conflict. In the present research, the method of literature review one of the scientific research methods and survey that focused on the doctors who work in the health institutions which constitute the sample. In the view of "Structural Equation Modeling" factor analysis, regression and correlation analyzes are applied on the datas obtained through survey. In this analysis AMOS 18.0 is used. Moreover, to determine the differences asserted in the hypothesis SPSS analysis program, t-test and ANOVA analyzes are applied. According to the findings, the sufficient findings can not obtained to conclude that the doctors who constitiute the sample are workaholic. In the other hand, as a result of analysis achieved by structural equation modeling, the meaningful findings are obtained related the relations between workaholism and work-family conflict. According to these results, the positive and negative relations are determined between workaholism and work-family conflict. As a consequence, it can be supposed that there is a conflict in workaholics? work and family life. The findings support the hypothesis supposed in the theoretical part of this research and are compatible with the previous results.
